The Kou Collection

Kou is a native Hawaiian plant, polynesian introduced and also indigenous, meaning the first Hawaiians brought it with them and it also found its way to Hawaii on its own. Kou is a tree that has multiple uses in Hawaiian culture. The flowers were used in lei making, the leaves were used in dyeing fishing lines, and the wood was prized in bowl and dish making. Learn more about Kou with me this month as we create together with these new designs!

The Kou Collection of fabric will be released on Thursday, April 28th, at 5pm HST.
