Meal Prepping Mama

Let's set up your journal so shopping is a breeze! This is honestly something I have been dying to try, but haven't yet! I'm hoping meal planning and prep with save me time and money.

Here are the steps:

  1. Start on the top left dot
  2. Skip down 5
  3. Count 5 down/8 across and box
  4. Repeat Step 3 five times
  5. Return to the top box
  6. Skip 1 to the right
  7. Count 8 down/8 across and box
  8. Skip down 1
  9. Repeat Steps 7 and 8 three times
  10. Return to the top, second column
  11. Skip to the right
  12. Repeat Steps 7 and 8 four times
  13. Flourish!

Here's the closeups:

On the side we have the days labeled 1-P for Poakahi, Poalua, Poakolu, Poaha, Poalima, Poaono, Lapule and 5 spaced for writing 3 meals and 2 snacks per day.

I split up the store by these sections, but you can do it how your store is set up or what makes the most sense to you. Here's what I have:

  • Lau Ai (leafy foods)
  • Hua Ai (fruits)
  • Io/Ia (meat/fish)
  • Pahu Hau (fridge section)
  • Waiu (milk possibly dairy section)
  • Kini (canned food)
  • Mea Ono (treats)
  • Ai Mama (snacks)

What's your weekly meal plan going to be next week? Don't know yet? Give this a try!

Here's a printable download that you can keep in your journal pocket for quick spread layout ideas: (to download just left click and save the picture)
