Na Lei o Hawaii Designs

Here in Hawaii we show our love, appreciation, and respect through lei. Over the years Hawaii has always found ways to adapt almost every plant to be used in the most beautiful of lei. The hand painted watercolor lei used in this collection are all lei that come from these categories:

  • Native Hawaiian
    • Indigenous: originates in Hawaii and other parts of the world
    • Endemic: originates only in Hawaii
  • Polynesian Introduced: brought by the first Polynesian Voyagers because of the plant's importance to the culture
  • Local Favorite: plants that were introduced to Hawaii post western contact that have become favorites of modern Hawaii.

Some of the specifications have "?" next to them. This just means that there is some debate as to what the exact classification is, but the listed classification is generally accepted.
