Finding Moments of Joy

NEVER say you’re just going to go visit the Humane Society! I learned this lesson over the weekend. What I thought would be just a fun outing for the family turned into almost 4 hours of loving on pets and going home with our very own dog. The kids named him niu and he has so far fit right in with the family. I keep waiting for the moment when I get hit with a wave of regret cause how could I possibly have time to take care of one more thing – but it hasn’t hit yet. I just keep thinking that with every day I get older I feel the years going by faster and I want to live life to the fullest. I’ve never had a pet my whole life and so having one now and watching my kids have one brings me a lot of joy.
