Golden Opportunities on Kauai

Last week we spent time on Kauai. We got to see beautiful places like Hanalei and Wailua. We also got to strengthen our language as a family with friends from Niihau and Kekaha. One of the biggest struggles that I have had (and most language learners can relate to this) – is finding exceptional speakers to speak with and listen to. For this reason we regard native speakers, the Niihau community, and our kupuna in the highest regard. Any time with people in these categories is golden and immediately boosts our vocabulary, understanding, pronunciation, sound, etc. We are so thankful that these people still exist and we hope we see and hear more of them everywhere!
